Keysli exists to give tenants a voice. Our content policy protects that voice while preventing abuse, harassment, and false information.
What makes a good Keysli review
The best reviews are specific, honest, and based on first-hand experience. Tell future tenants what they actually need to know — how maintenance requests were handled, how the landlord communicated, what living there was really like.
Content we allow
- First-hand accounts of your tenancy experience
- Factual descriptions of conditions, incidents, and interactions
- Opinions clearly framed as opinions ("In my experience..." / "I felt...")
- Both positive and negative reviews
- Reviews of property management companies and individual landlords
Content we remove
- False statements of fact — claims you know to be untrue presented as fact
- Personal information — full names (beyond first name/initial), phone numbers, addresses, or photos of individuals
- Hate speech — content targeting someone based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, or disability
- Threats or harassment — content intended to intimidate or harm
- Conflicts of interest — reviews submitted by competitors, employees, or people with a financial interest
- Irrelevant content — reviews about things unrelated to the tenancy experience
- Duplicate reviews — multiple reviews of the same property from the same tenancy
- Spam — promotional content or automated submissions
Disputing a review (landlords)
If you are a landlord and believe a review about your property is false or violates this policy, you may submit a dispute to disputes@keysli.com with:
- The address in question
- The specific content you believe violates our policy
- The reason (with evidence where possible)
We review all disputes and respond within 5 business days. We do not remove reviews solely because a landlord disagrees with them — a negative review is not automatically a policy violation.
Review integrity
Keysli uses automated systems to protect the integrity of reviews on our platform:
- One review per address — each verified email address may only submit one review per property. This prevents coordinated review campaigns.
- Rate limiting — we limit the number of reviews that can be submitted from a single connection per day to prevent automated spam.
- Velocity detection — reviews are automatically held for moderation if an unusual number are submitted for the same address in a short period of time.
- Email verification — all reviews require a verified email address before publication.
These systems are not foolproof. If you notice a pattern of suspicious reviews, please flag them and contact us at moderation@keysli.com.
Our moderation process
Reviews are currently moderated through a combination of automated checks and manual review of flagged content. We aim to review flagged content within 48 hours. Decisions to remove content are made by Keysli staff.
Appeals
If your review was removed and you believe this was in error, contact moderation@keysli.com with the address and a brief explanation. We will reconsider.
